Many students don't know about work difficulties in UK, and also they don't know basic rules of work and they thinks they can cover all costs with just few hours work but its not easy. In UK many students are jobless and if they have a job then hourly rate around 2 to 4 pounds. We cannot say always these conditions but mostly same. Here are basic rules to follow during your studies and work:
1. First of all you need to have student immigration permission for work. And in some cases you need to get permission from your institutions for work.
2. When you have student immigration permission you can work 10 to 20 hours a week. You can work full-time during your holidays and on work placements. You cannot cross this limit otherwise breach of your immigration conditions.
3. If your not studying or attending your classes because of your thesis and its not holidays time and you cannot work until you finished your writing.
4. Its not allow you use your earning for your tuition fees and living costs you should be able to meet your expenses with out having work and this is the reason UK embassy asks for financial statement during visa process. Other reasons are
- Its difficult to find job/work and you can't earn enough and it might possible you loose your job at any stage or it can hurt your studies.
6. During job you need to get your National Insurance Number (NINo) is a unique personal number which is used to record your National Insurance (NI) contributions.
